Bulky Waste Collection

Example of bulky waste items that can be collected

The refuse collectors cannot accept bulky items such as furniture, electrical items or rubble. Adur & Worthing Council Services offers a service for this type of collection, with a charge payable according to the size or weight of the item(s).

  • The minimum charge is £31.50 (Price correct as of June 2009) for up to three items or up to nine standard black refuse sacks (this is still dependent on the location of the items though, see the second point.)
    • Three items could be a television, a fridge and a washing machine, it could also be a three piece suite.
    • Nine refuse sacks could be garden waste.
  • The price is dependent on the location of the items to be collected. If the item is on the kerbside it will be cheaper than it is for us to collect the items from the top floor of a ten storey block of flats.
  • We really need to visit the collection site and material before to give you the actual price.

Please contact us or send a request on-line for a quotation and arrange an appointment for collection.

Do note that majority of the items that we collect as part of our bulky waste collection service can be taken to a Household Waste Recycling Site yourself if you have the means of doing so for no charge.
