Worthing Borough Council can now accept online payments for Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayment, Business Improvement District Levy and General Invoices (e.g. Beach Huts, Beach Chalet Rents, Clinical Waste, Trade Refuse, Adhoc Invoices, Building Regulation Inspection Fee etc.)

This is in addition to using Cash Office's counter, also at the Town Hall.

On-line Payments

The new service is easier to use, secure and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days week. This is a secure site as any information you send is encrypted ensuring that it cannot be read by anyone else over the Internet.

How to use this service

In order to use this service you will need the following to hand : 

  • The Debit / Credit card you intend to use to make your payment
  • The account reference number for the bill that you wish to pay.

Call 0300 123 6002 as an alternative to making your payment via the website you can now make the same payments using our Automated Telephone Payment System also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • How much does this call cost?
    Calls are charged at local rates which vary depending on your telephone call plan and time of making the call. Please check your provider.

  • I have free minutes / free call time on my phone tariff - is this call included in that?
    If you have free minutes or calls to landline numbers on your mobile phone tariff or landline tariff, 0300 calls are included in your packages minutes and free calls.

  • I don't like speech systems as I have to say my card details out loud!
    You will be prompted where you can enter sensitive details that you wish to keep private by your telephone keypad.

  • What is an 0300 number and who is allowed to have them?
    0300 numbers are only for public sector and non profit making organisations. 0300 numbers are not premium rate lines.
