Throughout the council website there are many forms and files that can be downloaded. Throughout the website these are some of the icons you may see and what they are:

Description
The Adobe PDF Icon - the PDF icon is coloured red
Adobe PDF
This is the format for the majority of files on this website. They can be read on most computers for free and can be easily printed.
Microsoft Excel Icon - the Excel icon is coloured green
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft's spreadsheet format produced by Excel. This is used for information largely composed of numbers and calculations. We do try to convert these to PDF as compatibility outside of Microsoft Excel, Mac and Linux is not 100% guaranteed.
Microsoft Word Icon - The Word icon is coloured blue
Microsoft Word
Microsoft's word processor document format produced by Word. Largely replaced with PDF documents now.
Zip file icon
Zip Archive
A zip archive is a special kind of file that is like a suitcase containing more than one file that is squeezed down (compressed) into a smaller size allowing for quicker downloads and bundling related information together.
