Scrapbook presentation for past 'action' Mayor Noel Atkins

Past Worthing Mayor, Noel Atkins, dubbed ‘action mayor’ during his year of office, will be given the traditional Scrapbook by Chief Executive, Ian Lowrie.

The Scrapbook, compiled over Noel’s busy year by Mayor’s Assistant, Sue Richardson, records 554 engagements covering over 6500 miles around the Borough and beyond and 440 air miles - a wonderful memory of a busy year.

Action Mayor Noel was dubbed so because of his 14,000 strong crowd surfing antics at a Churches Big Day Out in Steyning and a 12,000’ parachute jump with the ‘Tigers’ (The Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment).

The Scrapbook contains a unique record of his year as Mayor of Worthing for 2009/2010.
