Gathering Clouds over Brooklands Park by Brian Spicer
A View of Worthing for August 25th - September 7th 2008

Brian has been out and about again and we had a bit of a quiet fortnight photos wise. Regardless, Brian sent us three stunning photos of Brooklands Park brooding under the storm clouds for this fortnight's view.

Brooklands is a large forty-five acre park offering a range of sporting and leisure facilities including an eight acre boating lake. Wildlife also finds Brooklands Park a secluded and inviting habitat.

Why not also visit the park for its 9-hole 3 par golf course, the minature railway, children's playground, café, a pitch and putt putting green and go-kart track, all surrounded by landscaped gardens that provide all year round interest for all ages. Not only that but Brooklands Park is directly opposite the eastern end of Worthing's beach providing an excellent place for residents and visitors to enjoy themselves. That is of course, if August decides to treat us with the sun!

Well done for being the sixth to share A View of Worthing.

Get Your View Of Worthing On-line!

Fancy yourself a bit of a photography buff, know your aperture from your exposure or just got a photo that you think is a good view of Worthing? Why not send it into us via e-mail and we will choose A View of Worthing each fortnight and you could see your photo on the home page as well as on a dedicated page like this.

We won't be judging on technical wizardry and it doesn't matter what camera or equipment you use. All that matters is that the view is a good one of Worthing.

All we ask is that you send us the photo in a suitable format for us to upload (JPEG, PNG or TIFF, no RAW files please) and we will be in touch if we choose your View of Worthing.

Please only send three photos per submission. Only one submission per fortnight will be accepted to start with (we need to be sure we will be able to look at the photos properly in that time!)

• Your photo(s) must be in JPEG, PNG or TIFF format. Most digital compact cameras and film scans from high street stores are in JPEG format. We do not accept RAW files due to size and complexity of opening the files sometimes.
  
• Please include: your name (or alias) and a telephone contact number.

If you still use 35mm film we will consider postal submissions depending on the demand for this, please e-mail us first before doing this. We will not be accepting entries via medium or large format.
