A View of Worthing for January 5th - 19th 2009
Christmas and New Year is over but a popular past time in this period (to work off that turkey, the turkey sandwiches, turkey curry...) is a brisk walk in the clear winter air. Certainly its an invigorating way to wake up those slumbering synapses and a good way to go for the Rudolph 'red nose' appearance when you come in from the cold!
Next fortnight we will be looking for pictures of last year's 'Ice Prince' wood deluge when the Ice Prince shed its cargo of timber into the English Channel last January with most of it washing up on Worthing's five miles of shoreline. If you have a good view, perhaps something unique about the event you captured, send it to us and it could be our homepage View of Worthing! Find out how to submit below.

Get Your View Of Worthing On-line!
Fancy yourself a bit of a photography buff, know your aperture from your exposure or just got a photo that you think is a good view of Worthing? Why not send it into us via e-mail and we will choose A View of Worthing each fortnight and you could see your photo on the home page as well as on a dedicated page like this.
We won't be judging on technical wizardry and it doesn't matter what camera or equipment you use. All that matters is that the view is a good one of Worthing.
All we ask is that you send us the photo in a suitable format for us to upload (JPEG, PNG or TIFF, no RAW files please) and we will be in touch if we choose your View of Worthing.
Please only send three photos per submission. Only one submission per fortnight will be accepted to start with (we need to be sure we will be able to look at the photos properly in that time!)
- Send your entry/entries to: webmaster@worthing.gov.uk
- Your photo(s) must be in JPEG, PNG or TIFF format. Most digital compact cameras and film scans from high street stores are in JPEG format. We do not accept RAW files due to size and complexity of opening the files sometimes.
- If you use 35mm film we will consider postal submissions depending on the demand for this, please e-mail us first before doing this. We hope to accept entries on medium format (120) film soon however we have no ability to accept large format now or in the future.
- Please include: your name (or alias) and a telephone contact number.

Copyright and ownership of the photo remains with the person who took the photo but by entering your photo for A View Of Worthing you give permission for us to display your photo on-line.
