 Teville Gate - Pedestrian Crossings

New plans have been unveiled by the company looking to develop the current Teville Gate site. Changes have been made to the facility now that the council is seeking permission to build the new swimming pool adjacent to the existing Aquarena rather than as part of the Teville Gate redevelopment.

The £150 million landmark scheme includes:

  • A 9 screen multiplex Cinema
  • 260 new homes
  • A 100-bedroom high quality hotel
  • New restaurants and coffee shops
  • A new Conference and Exhibition Centre that will host a wide range of community, conference, exhibition, private function and arts events
  • Office suites/business space
  • A new supermarket
  • Extensive landscaped public spaces
  • Car parking, together with disabled, parent/child, cycle and motorcycle parking
  • Enhanced pedestrian circulation connecting the town centre with the Station.
  • Improved traffic management and new junction layouts with pedestrian-friendly crossings
