Welcome to the Worthing International Birdman 2009 Photos and Video Gallery which we will be adding to over the course of the coming weeks.

Jonathan Ansell gets ready to set the pace at the Worthing International Birdman 2009

The Worthing International Birdman 2009 was held on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday 23rd August, a fanatstic weekend was had by all as thousands thronged the Worthing and the seafront to watch the Birdmen take to the skies and fly for glory. This gallery is a celebration of all those fantastic frollics, endeavours and charities that people supported; and of course all those who did take part.

This year the jackpot of £30,000 was narrowly missed out on by a mere 13 centimetres (just over 5 inches!) so all eyes on the 2010 contest, will someone hit the magic jackpot mark?
