Released: 05 Feb 2010

Families can get ready to be snow balled over by all the Inflatable fun on the way to Worthing for the school half term holidays.  The Guildbourne Centre will host a giant snow globe from 13th – 20th February 2010.  And the former Allied Carpets shop in Buckingham Road will have more inflatable fun with snowcars and air hockey.

Worthing Revolutionary Arts Group are putting on loads of activities at the former carpet shop as well  - screen printing, Punch and Judy, Circus skills and much more. Worthing Lions are providing refreshments for sale.

In October Worthing Borough Council was a successful bidder for £35,000 from the Coast West Sussex Board to help bring life back to empty shops and attract people to the town centres.

Regeneration manager, Clare Mangan said:

“This is the latest initiative to be delivered through the partnership between the Empty Shops Network and Worthing Council’s regeneration team.
“ It is part of our programme of events and activities which are tackling the real problems of empty shops; bringing a shop back into use, more people into the town and an opportunity for excitement and fun during the half term holidays.”

Snow Globe sessions run all day form 10am to 4pm, admission is £5 for groups of 1 to 3 and £7.50 for groups of 4+, this also includes a photo of your experience.  The inflatable sessions at the former Allied Carpets are from 10am to 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 4pm from Saturday 13th– Saturday 20th February (not open on Sunday 14th Feb).
