Councillor Ann Barlow, Cabinet Member for Regeneration

“Help Worthing take the first step towards a brighter economic future”,

says Ann Barlow, Cabinet Member for Regeneration.

“Worthing Council is very grateful to the many businesses that kindly completed and returned the Worthing Business Questionnaire.  From this, our Economic Development Team has established a framework to develop an Economic Development Strategy, and will be consulting with local businesses, organisations and the residents of Worthing.  The strategy will aim to encourage business growth and develop Worthing as a thriving borough, where people want to live, work and invest.”

To help understand your business needs, Worthing Council is committed to providing a dynamic and effective, two-way consultation process, providing opportunities for you to get involved.  The Economic Development Team will be publishing an ‘Issues and Options' document ready for consultation during January - March 2009.  The outcome of this will inform the Draft Economic Development Strategy, due for consultation in October 2009.  The final Economic Development Strategy will be available from January 2010.    A detailed timeline for this project can be viewed below.
