East Worthing Access Road

Article's Rating

The East Worthing Access Road (EWAR) is a priority for Worthing Borough Council (WBC).
WBC have appointed consultants to assess the financial and technical feasibility of building the East Worthing Access Road. EWAR has been on the Council's agenda for over 15 years but the study is needed because only viable planning schemes can go into our new Local Development Framework, the document that will replace our existing Local Plan.

The County Council and the Highways Agency are in discussions with the Department for Transport in order to come up with options to relieve congestion on the A27. It is likely that any options to be considered will not be forthcoming until next year.

Please find below a copy of the consultants brief for your information.
