Worthing Council for Voluntary Service (WCVS) is funded by Worthing Borough Council to provide support, guidance and representation to all local voluntary and community groups and to people wishing to start new ones. This includes

  • Giving access to a wide range of funding sources and grants
  • Providing one to one guidance and support on applying for funding, and fundraising
  • Helping you to start a new group, sort out your plans and publicise yourselves
  • Helping you to register as a charity, obtain insurance, open a bank account etc
  • Keeping you informed of all the other things you’ll need to know about
  • Confidential ‘Health Checks’ for existing voluntary groups (like an organisational MOT!)
  • Funding Bulletin and Newsletter

WCVS also runs the quarterly Voluntary Sector Forum.
