The data showing the location of the Council's various facilities and services has been organised into several 'themes'.  At present these are:

  • Addresses showing LLPG addresses and Ordnance Survey Codepoint postcode boundaries.
     
  • Beaches showing Worthing Pier, beach inspectors office, beach chalets, beach huts and beach access. These include telephone and email contact information. Also includes links to relevant web sites including tide times.
  • Council Owned Property showing all buildings and land within the ownership of Worthing Borough Council.  Also includes links to photos and website (where relevant).
     
  • Council Tax showing Council Tax banding information. Also includes link to the relevant council tax website.
     
  • Disabled Access Info including Shopmobility, Radar Keys, Public Access Buildings, On street Disabled Parking, Off Street Car Parks with disabled bay details. All with link to relevant web pages containing further information.
  • Education showing nursery, primary, secondary, independent and special schools and colleges. With links to School and Ofsted websites.
     
  • Elections showing polling stations, electoral divisions for both local and County elections. Polling Districts are also available with location links to associated polling stations.
     
  • Health showing hospitals, dental surgeries and doctors surgeries.
     
  • Historic showing Churches, Listed Buildings, cemeteries, closed church yards, Blue Plaque information and War Memorials. Listed Buildings, Blue Plaques and War Memorials have links to extra information.
     
  • Highways exhibits Maintained Highways, footpaths, unmaintained roads  and road sign information. With links to relevant pages.
     
  • Key Locations showing key sites around Worthing.  Including Town Hall, Pier, Town Centre, Environment Agency building etc, with links to relevant websites including Flood information...
  • Landscape and Countryside includes Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Conservation Areas, Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Sites of Nature Conservation (SNCI) and Environmental Areas Special Characteristics.
  • Libraries showing libraries around the district.
     
  • Public Transport showing bus shelters and bus routes, taxi ranks and railway stations.
     
  • Recreation showing Entertainment Buildings (including website links to theatres, pier etc), Allotments, Sports Buildings (including leisure centres, sports pavilions etc), sports grounds, recreation grounds, parks, playgrounds, litter bins and dog bins.  Dog bins have links to further information regarding 'Poop Scoop Laws'.
  • Street Lights showing West Sussex County Council maintained street lights, Highways Agency lighting, 3rd Party Lights (where a 3rd party is responsible for maintenance) and Decorative lighting with telephone contact information. Also a link to West Sussex County Council fault reporting website.
  • Tourism including Tourist Information Centres with opening hours, telephone numbers,  email information and a link to their website. Hotels and guest houses with contact information. Also includes Car Parks showing MSCP and surface car parks with disabled parking information.  This includes a link to NCP website (where appropriate). Places to Eat and Pubs, Clubs & Bars with telephone details.
     
  • Waste Services with recycling banks and bin round information. Additional information available regarding recycling facilities e.g. glass, paper etc and also a link to the relevant council website.
  • Worthing's Local Plan is a stutory document prepared by Worthing Borough Council as the Planning Authority. The Local Plan sets out detailed policies and site specific proposals for development and use of land within the Borough. As of the 27th September 2007, the Local Plan system will be superseded by a new system know as the Local Development Framework, however some Local Plan policies will remain 'saved' until the LDF Core Strategy Development Plan Document is submitted and adopted.
