It can be regarded as the computer-based equivalent of a map but with the important difference being that the user can interrogate and manoeuvre the maps.  This means that you can move around the maps, zoom in and out, and query certain layers of mapped data presented.  You can also choose which layers of data you want to see on your map by choosing different 'themes'.

DISCOVER W orthing has been designed to provide members of the public access to maps showing the location of many of the Council's facilities and services across the Borough. The system has been implemented as part of the Council's e-government strategy to provide electronic access to Council information.
