Makes use of a third party product called 'PlanAccess'.

Web Browser

DISCOVER Worthing is designed to be used with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and above, Netscape 4.0 and above and Firefox.  DISCOVER Worthing may be functional on other web browsers but we have not tested it on platforms beyond our recommendations.

Connection

DISCOVER Worthing should work effectively with Internet connection speeds from 56kbps to Broadband. Users with a dial-up connection may find it slow loading the maps initially. Please be patient.

Pop-ups

DISCOVER Worthing relies on pop-up windows to provide you with results or help. To view these pop-up windows you will need to make sure you have switched off any pop-up blocking software or settings on your PC.

Notes for Windows XP users

Windows XP Service Pack 2 has increased security, by stopping pop-up windows. It is recommended that you add the DISCOVER Worthing online web page address ( http://discover.worthing.gov.uk/PlanAccess2/planaccess.asp) to the "Allowed Sites" list in the "Exception" settings for the pop-up blocker.

Java Runtime Environment

If there is no map displayed in the map area in DISCOVER Worthing, you may need to download free Java Runtime Environment software to be able to view the maps. This is available at www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. Please note that this may take some time to download and install.

DISCOVER Worthing may contain links to pdf documents. Y ou may need to download free Adobe Acrobat Reader software to be able to view these. This is available from our Useful Downloads page. Please note that this may take some time to download and install.

Screen Resolution

DISCOVER Worthing is designed for a resolution of 1024 x 768 or above.

What are these for?

Facebook, Delicious, Magnolia and Newsvine allow you to bookmark (or favourite) this and other pages on the Internet. You can then access these bookmarks from any computer in the world.
