Worthing West

  • Peter Bottomley; Conservative; 21,383; 47.6%; +0.1%
  • Claire Potter; Liberal Democrat; 12,004; 26.7%; +0.2%
  • Antony Bignell; Labour; 8,630; 19.2%; -2.3%
  • Tim Cross; UK Independence Party; 2,374; 5.3%; +0.8%
  • Chris Baldwin; Legalise Cannabis Alliance; 515; 1.2%; +1.2%

  • Majority 9,379; 20.9%  
  • Turnout 44,941; 62.6% +2.9%

East Worthing and Shoreham

  • Tim Loughton; Conservative; 19,548; 43.9%; +0.7%
  • Daniel Yates; Labour; 11,365; 25.5%; -3.5%
  • James Doyle; Liberal Democrat; 10,844; 24.3%; +1.4%
  • Richard Jelf ; UK Independence Party; 2,109; 4.7% +1.9%
  • Chris Baldwin; Legalise Cannabis Alliance; 677; 1.5%; +1.5%

  • Majority 8,183; 18.4%  
  • Turnout 44,543; 61.6%; +1.7%

Background

Worthing Borough is split into two constituencies Worthing West which consists of the Castle, Central (WB and WC), Durrington, Goring, Heene, Marine, Salvington (WD, WF, WG, WH and WK), Tarring and Northbrook Wards (WM and WI) combined with Arun District Council, East Preston, Ferring, and Rustington.  Worthing Borough Council administers this constituency, the Local Returning Officer is Ian Lowrie.

East Worthing and Shoreham constituency consists of the following Wards – Broadwater, Gaisford, Offington, and Selden  (WA, WE, WJ and WL) these are combined with Adur District Council Wards and are administered by Adur District Council the Local Returning Officer is Ian Lowrie.
