Community Resilience is about communities and individuals harnessing local resources and expertise to help themselves in an emergency, in a way that complements the response of the emergency services.
Why is community resilience important?
Nationally the Government has produced guidance for community groups and this can be found on the Cabinet Office Community Resilience web pages, where you can download various documents and a toolkit to help you produce your local community resilience plan.
You can also find more information on the Sussex Resilience Forum website.
If you would like to discuss your community plan with the Council, then contact the Emergency Planning Officer either at epo@adur-worthing.gov.uk or on 01903 221025.
