There are a number of grants and discounts available for loft and cavity wall insulation, which are available to all homeowners and private tenants regardless of income. 100% grants for insulation and heating measures are also available to those in receipt of certain benefits. All the grants and discounts come from a combination of Government grants, energy suppliers and Local Government schemes. Discounts are also available for solar water heating and solid wall insulation.

Warmfront is a government funded scheme which provides grants to make homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient. Grants are available for people who are on certain benefits and living in properties that are poorly insulated and/or do not have a working central heating system. Applicants must either own their home or rent it from a private landlord.

Does your property have solid walls or do you live in a park home? If so you won’t be able to benefit from cavity wall insulation. However, the West Sussex Local Authorities and the Energy Saving Trust are running the ‘West Sussex Warmer Walls’ Scheme in conjunction with MGC Ltd. This scheme provides discounted thermal insulation for solid walls, floors and ceilings.
