Home Office Exempt Collections

Organisations wishing to conduct a house to house collection of money, clothes, household goods etc.  for charitable purposes (including collecting in public houses etc.) require the consent of the Council or an Exemption Order issued by the Home Office.

As a courtesy many charitable organisations that hold a Home Office Exemption Order notify the council of their intention to collect. Published below are the current letters of intent including the dates during which they will be collecting within the borough.

  • 'Clothes Aid (Services) Ltd.' have made their intention known that they will be making house to house collections of clothing on behalf of the 'Make A Wish Foundation' charity throughout the borough under the authorisation of a Home Office Exemption between 1 January & 31 December 2012.
