Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Consultation

Worthing Borough Council is the Licensing Authority responsible for the administration and enforcement of Hackney Carriage (Taxi) and Private Hire Licensing legislation. Some functions such as policy, tariff and regulation changes require public consultation and, where relevant representation is received, a hearing.

Applications and Policies are advertised in the 'Public Notice & Legal Section' of the local press and/or the Town Hall notice board and of course on this website.

Below is a list of the applications that are outstanding and other licensing policy documents that the council is currently consulting on or awaiting hearings.

All the applications and policy documents can be viewed in full at the Licensing Unit. All Licensing Hearings are held, in public, at the Town Hall unless otherwise noted.
