If you have a question that has not been answered on this website, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. There are over two hundred Acts of Parliament, Statutory Instruments and Regulations which affect Taxi and Private Hire licensing in one way or another.  We cannot possibly deal with them all here, but we will try to answer any queries you have either over the phone, or in person. 

However, you should be aware that our advice is just that.... advice.  If you require a full legal explanation or detailed legal advice you should consult a Solicitor, preferably one who specialises in Taxi and Private Hire licensing.

The Taxi Licensing Office is open from Monday to Friday each day. We endevour to ensure that the office is manned from 10.00hrs until 13.00hrs every day although occassionally this is not possible due to sickness, staff leave, training, etc. 

If you need to speak to the Licensing Officer in person please make an appointment, as his duties require him to be out of the office and about the town much of the time. We hope you have found this website helpful.
