Page Rating

Adur & Worthing Council Services is responsible for the removal of any carcass’ of dead animals on the Highways or on public property that are reported to it.

Should you in the course of your travels come across the body of any animal no matter how small or large in a public area or on the highway, please contact Adur & Worthing Council Services. They will try to remove the animal's body as soon as possible in order to ensure that it does not pose a health hazard.

Usually the bodies of domestic pets will be retained for a day or so depending upon their state of decomposition, to allow time for their owners to collect them, should they so wish. We have in the past been called upon to remove the bodies of dead animals from as small as a hamster to that of a dolphin from the beach.

To report the body of a dead animal please contact Adur & Worthing Council Services.
