Internal Audit is a service available to all Departments within the Council. Its purpose is to ensure that all sections have adequate controls in place, including appropriate policies and procedures, to safeguard assets and public funds. It offers advice to management and makes recommendations to assist in risk reduction.

The Internal Audit service helps to ensure that council services are provided as economically, effectively and efficiently as possible.
