Youth Centres in Worthing

The Youth Service run all the centres in Worthing. They are busy bees, always doing loads of stuff to enlighten you, keep you entertained and provide you with advice on most things; if you want it, that is.

They are for anyone aged 12-18 years old. There are 3 centres and 1 youth cafe in Worthing, and they normally cost a £1 if you want to pop in and chill out. They are open at set times in the week and are run by youth workers. They have an organised programme of activities which you can join in on and trips at different times through the year. If you don't know where all the youth centre's are in Worthing, don't fear, I have directions I can send you.

So who goes? There are regulars who attend the centres every week, but others pop in now and again. If you don't know anyone, then you soon will if you pop in a few times. Drag a friend along for moral support. If you want to go, but want to know more before you do, please feel free to call me for a chat about it. (Adele Wg. 221121)

Don't forget every Saturday the Youth Cafe is open in the town centre. Pop in and get a cheap bite to eat. It's behind KFC if you walk down the alley way. The Cafe is in Marine Place, and in the building right on the corner on the first floor.

Maybridge Keystone Club

Maybridge Keystone Club is currently closed for refurbishment

Right in the centre of the Maybridge community, located in the West Sussex town of Worthing, lies an old and crumbling building which is home to the Maybridge Keystone Club.  Over recent year staff, friends and local officials have worked hard to to keep the club alive and try and obtain much needed funds to renovate the old building.

Fortunately, a couple of months ago, it was officially announced that over half a million pounds was made available to update the site and provide a new building to allow the club to expand, improve services to the local community as well as giving a place that the local young people could call their own.

Once it is complete the club will boast;

  • a multi use function room
  •  i.t suite, art’s and crafts room
  •  a brand new sports hall.
