Article's Rating

Educational groups of all ages and abilities are frequent and welcome visitors to the Museum. We have an Education Room where handling sessions run by a member of the Museum staff can be arranged on a range of subjects such as toys, costume and the Romans.

Groups wanting a handling session or other direct input from a member of staff need to book as far ahead as possible. We do not have specialist Education Staff and can get fully booked. Even if you do not want to arrange a session with a member of staff we ask you to let us know when you want to visit so that we can avoid having too many people trying to look in the same cases at once.

We are happy to arrange special handling sessions for groups of people with visual impairment or with any other disability that makes an ordinary, general visit frustrating. If you would like to arrange a session of this kind please contact the relevant member of the Museum staff.
