Welcome to Parks and Open Spaces operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services section.

Worthing's beautiful gardens attract many visitors each year and at Highdown Gardens they have received the coveted Green Flag Award. Why not spend a summer afternoon watching the bowls at Beach House Park or strolling through the award winning gardens at Highdown.

Worthing currently possesses some 360 hectares of Parks and Open Spaces comprising of formal Parks and Gardens through to local Recreation Grounds down to small open green spaces and woodlands.

Highdown Gardens

Many of Worthing's picturesque parks and gardens are potential sites for the filming of:- Weddings, Commercials, News reports, Dramas, Documentaries and even movies.  Worthing Borough Council welcomes applications for such filming under our Filming Policy.
