New Play equipment at Longcroft Park

The National Lottery

The equipment has been set out along a path and will be fenced once completed to provide a safe haven for children to play whilst parents and carers can sit and meet up in adjacent seating. The equipment selected is specially chosen to stimulate and challenge children from toddler to around 8 years of age using climbing, balancing swinging and social play. Additional seating is provided along with litterbins.

Long Climb Mulitplay

Designed to give stepped physical challenges, allowing confidence, skill and strength to grow. With a difficult traverse, including a climbing wall, hand over hand and easier circulation via ladders/rope climbs, users are rewarded with a 1.5m high slide. Long Climb. A transitional unit
that is good for older toddlers and juniors alike. It has a challenging hand-over-hand section that acts as a filter between the easy slide and the trickier climbing wall, firremans pole and a rope climb. It provides increasingly difficult challenges to keep children coming back. Suitable for children between 4-10 years.

Boat Swing

Larger than an average cradle seat the boat seat gives support to those children with less mobility and coordination so that they can enjoy the sensation of swinging. It can be used like an old fashioned boat swing by two or more children when in the flat position or by one child when upright.

Scooter Roundabout

A roundabout that will go as fast as children make it and so uses up a lot of energy without them realising. Suitable for children between 4 to 10 years.
