Laid out in 1960 this large recreation ground has 8 football pitches and a Pavilion with toilets, in addition to a play area, basketball pad and car park.


Palatine Park Project

Work on a new development at Palatine Park started on the 27th June 20 11 to build a new Pavilion including a clubhouse and changing rooms.  There will be 8 football pitches of various sizes.

The whole site except for the children’s playground is not currently open for public access while the development is taking place.  Public access to certain areas of Palatine Park may return during phases of the development.  The project is scheduled to be finished by 23rd December.

The children’s playground can be accessed via an alleyway near to the Sussex Yeoman Pub.

The existing Pavilion is being demolished week commencing 25th July 2011.

Drainage works to the football pitches is also due to start on the 1st August.

The overall cost of the scheme is £1,540,400 and has been funded by £453,399 from the Football Foundation, £35,000 from Viridor Credits, £20,000 from Worthing Town Council.  The remainder comes from Worthing Borough Council.
