All this takes place in safe and fun surroundings, and is lead by qualified Boxing Tutors and Coaches.

Street Dance @ Nicola Miles Theatre Studio

Vikkie training the Brighton based Funkstars Dance Troop

These courses are run by accomplished dance teacher Vikkie Steege who lists amongst her dance techniques:- Street, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Krumpin'. She specialises in performances, workshops and sessions for dancers to broaden their hip hop based dance technique and movement vocabulary. The courses are based on fun and enjoyment and participation in performances is encouraged but not a requirement of attending.

  • Thursdays
  • 1 4.00-4.45pm for 7-10yrs
  • 2 4.45-5.30pm for 11-13yrs
  • 3 5.30-6.30pm for 14-19yrs (Beginner/Intermediate)
  • 4 6.30-7.30pm for 14-19yrs (Advanced)

Cost:

 Programmes 1 & 2 (45 min) £30

Programmes 3 & 4 (60 min) £40

* Funding has been secured from Sport England's Sport Unllimited scheme to promote activities beyond school hours, therefore the courses are subsidised.

The venue is the Nicola Miles Theatre Studios, 9 Ivy Arch Road, Worthing.


Circus Skills with Circus Seen

Circus Seen

Circus Seen are a charity offering courses and workshops in circus related skills. A taster of the kind of things this includes are poi, hooping, stilt walking, juggling and unicycling amongst other skills. Come and try it out.

Where: Sydney Walter Youth Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing, BN11 1DS.

When: Tuesdays 4.15pm-5.45pm

Who: Mixed class for young people aged up to 18.

Football @ The Rosie

Football at the Rosie every Thursday night

Mark Slide, Brighton and Hove Albion Football Community Coach leads these Thursday night sessions with the help of footie volunteers from Worthing Police. These sessions have a great following and at 50p a session, you can't go wrong.

  • Ongoing U12 (Thursday's 5-6pm)
  • Ongoing U14 (Thursday's 6-7pm)
  • Ongoing U16 (Thursday's 7-8pm)
  • Where: The Rose Wilmot Youth Centre's Astro Turf, Littlehampton Road, Durrington
  • Simply turn up and play.

Rowing @ Splash Point

Rowing Taster Day at Worthing Rowing Club

Fancy learning how to row? Martin at Worthing Rowing Club is happy to give you a taster session if you want to try something new. All equipment is provided. Worthing Rowing Club's junior section meet Tuesday's & Thursday evenings. Check out www.worthingrowingclub.com for more information about their club.

  • When: Tuesday or Thursday
  • Where: Worthing Rowing Club, Splash Point, Marine Parade, Worthing
  • Time: 6-7pm
  • Ages: 12-19 yrs old
  • Cost: £5

Tarring Rec Football Session

Football every Friday @ Tarring

Are you aware there is football happening at Tarring Recreation Ground? Know where it is? It's on Church Road, Tarring.

  • When & Where: Ongoing in Tarring Rec.(floodlit session).
  • Cost: 50p (can't say fairer than that.)
  • What: Relaxed and friendly Football session. 
  • Ages: U14 and U16
  • Times: 6-7pm (U14) and 7-8pm (U16)

These sessions have been running since October 08 and have a good following. Simply turn up, fill in a simple registration form and get playing. Mark Slide from Brighton and Hove Albion's Football in the Community Scheme is leading these sessions. Goodies for those turning up regularly include tickets to see Brighton and Hove Albion play and free training footballs!
