We are able to process Postal, DX, Online, Email, NLIS and requests for information under EIR. A site plan, preferably Ordnance Survey, clearly defining the curtilage of the area to be searched against may also be required. A member of the Local Land Charges Team will contact you, if a plan is required.
Where an email address is supplied on a search request, we will assume consent to return the search reply electronically. Should you wish to receive a hard copy of your search result, please contact us at landcharges@adur-worthing.gov.uk or 01903 221038 or 01903 221490
Any search received from 1/8/07, regardless of the form actually submitted, will be processed with reference to the new forms CON29R and CON29O (2007).
All Additional Enquiries for Worthing or Adur searches should be sent direct to the relevant department. These will no longer be accepted as part of the search process.

You are entitled to carry out Personal Searches of Environmental Information under the EI Regulations free of charge with effect from Monday 2 August 2010. Although we are only obliged toallow inspection of public registers we recognise that this would be inefficient for both yourself and the local authority staff. Accordingly, we propose to implement the following system when a personal search is requested.
Worthing properties
Adur properties
Official search of the Local Land Charges Register (LLC1) Should you require a compiled report of information contained on the Local Land Charges Register, rather than a Personal Search made under the EI Regulations, please either send in an LLC1 form for which a payment of £12 is required for postal, or use our Online Form or email your LLC1 request for which a payment of £10 is required, to the Local Land Charges Section for Adur and Worthing at:
Address: Worthing Borough Council, Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1HA, DX 142963 Worthing 10, Telephone: 01903 221038 or 01903 221490, Fax: 01903 221039, Email: landcharges@adur-worthing.gov.uk
An EIR request will not procure answers to the enquiries on the CON29R form from the Local Land Charges Section. Such enquiries can only be answered by the Local Land Charges Section in the context of a full search, which will require the submission of the correct forms, correct fee and plan (if necessary).
