Public Access for Planning is an on-line service that allows you to:

  • View details of planning applications being considered by Worthing Borough Council,
  • View planning history from June 1990,
  • You can monitor the progress of an application,
  • Submit comments about an application using an on-line form and,
  • Search a constantly updated list of planning applications received each week.

You can search for information in a variety of ways and can use an integrated map to help locate properties and applications.

Back-up of the Public Access computers is done on a flexible basis. Service is usually available between the following hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5.30am to 11.00pm
  • Friday to Sunday: 10.00am to 11.00pm

The on-line planning history contained within this web site may not be complete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out any form of Land Charge search. No responsibility can be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from Public Access. Similarly, the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision.

Commenting on Applications

If you wish to submit any comments about an application, we encourage you to do this within 3 weeks of the date it became valid. Applications suffixed CCR3 and CCR4 are proposals that have been submitted to and will be determined by the County Council. The County Council consults us on these applications and they are listed here for information purposes only. Any comments about these applications should be sent directly to the County Council.

Note for browsers blocking pop up windows

Internet Explorer 6 with Windows XP Service Pack 2/3 and Internet Explorer 7 has increased security, by stopping pop-up windows. Planning:Online relies on these to provide you with results and help.  It is recommended that you add the Planning:Online web page address http://planning.worthing.gov.uk/publicaccess/ to the "Allowed Sites" list in the "Exception" settings for the pop-up blocker.
