Development Briefs

The Council has published a number of Development Briefs for key sites within the Borough – these are linked on the left hand side of this page. The purpose of the Briefs is to set out the requirements of the Local Planning Authority, the Highway Authority and other service providers. It provides a basis on which developers and landowners can prepare plans and financial programmes. It also sets out the principles of development that will need to be adopted including: land uses; layouts; design; provision of open space; access; landscaping and provision for wildlife. The Development Brief will be taken into account as a material consideration when any planning applications for the site are determined.
