We also produce more detailed guidance, which expand on some of the policies within the Local Plan. The SPG documents help to explain and set out the Council’s position with regards to infrastructure requirements that arise through new development. Infrastructure requirements may include for example, parking, open space, leisure facilities and affordable housing.

The Council recognises that landowners and developers need to be made aware of the types of provision that proposals may be expected to provide at the earliest possible stage.
