Seafront Concessions

Page Rating

Worthing Borough Council has recently introduced a streamlined and more flexible approach to applications for concessions.  The Council wants to create a more vibrant and active seafront where there is a wide variety of things for people to see and do.  The new process and on-line application form should mean that applicants get a quick decision.  The exact length of time depends upon the complexity of the concession but the system will ensure that applicants are kept informed throughout the decision-making process.

If you have an idea for running a concession or you have already been successfully operating elsewhere, there are a few things that you will need to consider prior to making your application.

  1. You will need to have an up to date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.  These are easily obtained and you can get guidance from the Criminal Records Bureau website External Link - This link takes you to another website.

  2. You will also need to have Public Liability Insurance of £5m.  Quotes for this can be obtained on-line.

  3. You will need to provide us with details of 2 referees who can vouch for your professionalism and the quality of your concession.

  4. Finally, you will need to carry out a risk assessment of your concession.  This is not as difficult as it sounds and we have provided a template for you to download and complete on-line from the application form link below.

If you are happy to provide all the above information and wish to Apply for a Concession continue to Application details.
