Garden Waste Sacks

If you do not want a garden waste bin you can purchase garden waste sacks from the retailers listed below for 50p each.

The garden waste sacks will be collected on your current bin day by the bin collectors so ensure that such sacks are put out on that day so they are collected with the rest of your recycling and refuse.

A charge for each sack is made becayse one-third of properties in Worthing do not have a garden and a decision was made some years ago to make a charge for garden waste collection on this basis. Garden waste is collected in specially marked brown sacks which can be purchased from retailers around the town. These cost 50p per sack and the charge helps pay for the collection service. Any garden waste set out for collection not using one of these sacks will not be collected.
