Concession Opportunities for Worthing's Seafront

Concession Opportunities for Worthing's Seafront

With the summer season almost behind us now, we are seeking local businesses and entrepreneurs to promote and encourage visitors to Worthing’s seafront for 2012. Our vision for an active beach zone is continuing to shape-up with a number of projects now successfully completed, including:

  • Splash Point Regeneration Scheme
  • Sand Courts just behind Coast Café
  • Artists Studios next to Coast Café
  • Splash Point Mini Golf
  • Cycle Hire facility in converted seafront shelter

At the opposite end of the promenade towards Goring, the children's play facility close to the water-wise garden continues to be a very popular attraction. Refreshments and ice-creams are available on the promenade at the playground from our concessionaire, Kaffe GoGo. The Diddly’s Seafront Land Train, which operates from mid May to late September, provides a regular service to the water-wise zone, including Marine Gardens Restaurant, Bowling and Putting Green. In the town centre, the train stop is located just to the right of the Lido Entertainment Centre on the promenade.

So, if you are a face-painter or a hair-braider, a henna tattooist or a caricaturist, a balloon modeller or a street magician, or anything else that will encourage visits to our beautiful coastline and town, please contact the regeneration team for a concessions licence application. We are particularly keen in hearing from you if you can set-up a mobile seafood stall for the summer, selling ready to eat seafood products.
