Services Provided

Revenues and Benefits provide the following services:

  • Council Tax

    Council Tax is a charge made by the Council to households within the Borough to help finance the services that it provides together with West Sussex County Council and Sussex Police authorities. It is not a direct payment for services and is therefore payable whether or not those services are used. 

  • Housing and Council Tax Benefit

Housing and Council Tax Benefit are Social Security benefits administered by the Council. These benefits can provide help with some of your housing rent cost and Council Tax. They are "means tested" benefits.

  • Business Rates

    Business Rates is a charge set by Central Government but administered by Councils to non-domestic property occupiers. This helps to finance local authority services.

  • Bus Passes

    Bus Passes are available to help people of pensionable age or disabled residents of the Borough with bus travel costs.

Management Team

The  of Customer Services is headed by Kevin Masters (Executive Head of Service), and comprises Julie Belcher (Revenues Manager), Paul Tonking (Benefits Manager) and David Plank (Customer Relationship Manager).
