Implementing Electronic Government

Worthing Borough Council is aiming to continue to modernise the way in which it provides services to its customers, utilising modern technology, with a view to delivering integrated, responsive and high quality services. To achieve this overarching objective it will need to initially assess its customers needs and to regularly monitor their needs as these will undoubtedly change with greater awareness and developments in technology.

It will also need to liaise with, and work in conjunction with, other public and voluntary organisations, with a view to providing more opportunities to access services in the community across a range of providers. The Council are members of the West Sussex Accessible Services Partnership, details of which can be found at www.wsasp.gov.uk

This IEG Statements below outline how the Council proposes to achieve these objectives.
