Steve Spinner, Business Services Manager and Bill Williamson, Procurement Officer, both from Worthing Borough Council gave a presentation to the Adur and Worthing Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses on 26th March 2009 titled “Tendering for Local Government Work”. The event was held at the Lecture Theatre, Worthing Library and was well attended by approximately 70 FSB Members. The presentation was well received with a lively Questions and Answers session at the end of the presentation. The purpose of the presentation was to show FSB Members the purchasing/procurement arrangements and procedures that currently exist in the Council and how much the Council currently spends with the local business community.
