The mapping services agreement is a contractual framework agreement that regulates the use of mapping and address data (LLPG) and services in local authorities.

A requirement of the Mapping Services Agreement is to appoint an Authority Liaison Officer (ALO) who is principal contact for all matters relating with the MSA and is responsible for checking and ensuring compliance with all matters relating to the framework agreement to include copyright.
