The Cabinet

The Cabinet comprises the Leader of the Council, the Deputy Leader and four Cabinet Members, each of whom has his/her own portfolio of responsibilities.

Individual Cabinet Member Reports and Decisions

The Cabinet as a whole or individual Cabinet Members take all major decisions affecting the Borough.  From October 2010 as part of a review of the Democratic Services working processes it has been agreed that individual Cabinet Member Reports and Decisions will now be published as soon as they are finalised.

Reports and Decisions made from September 2006 to September 2010 can be found under the archived Councillors Information Bulletin.

The duties and responsibilities of each of the Cabinet Members, together with all their Reports and Decisions taken from May 2010, can be found by clicking on the links at the left-hand side of this page.

The Cabinet also sits with the Cabinet of Adur District Council under the Joint Committee Agreement as the Joint Strategic Committee.

Forward Plan

The Council publishes a Forward Plan each month which sets out the key decisions likely to be taken over the next four months. Copies of the Plan are available for inspection at the Town Hall. The Plan can also be viewed on the Council's website.

Further details on the Council's Cabinet arrangements and on Cabinet Member Reports and Decisions can be obtained by contacting Democratic Services.
