The Youth Council

The Youth Council met on 23rd April and the executive committee was elected as follows:

  • Chair
    • Katie Osmon
  • Vice Chair
    • Thomas Conway
  • Minutes Secretary
    • Liz Jackson
  • Treasurer
    • Jeremy Wimble
  • Press Officer
    • Peter Fullilove

The following young people have now been elected as the shadow cabinet to put forward a youth perception to issues in Worthing at Cabinet Member meetings:

 

  • Cabinet Member for Resources - Bren Albiston and Tom Conway 
  • Cabinet Member for Enviornment - Char Lister and Emily Siggers 
  • Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport - Jeremy Wimble and Tom Wye
  • Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Services - Peter Fullilove and Lewis Brown

The new Youth Mayor is Simon Wimble. He is looking forward to his year in office.

The Youth Council has received a grant from Norwich Union and The Russell Commission and have begun work on the Use It Don't Abuse it project.
