Your eyes and ears

The Worthing Overview and Scrutiny Committee acts as your eyes and ears. Through this Committee we, your Councillors make sure that the services provided for you are continually improving.

We use our local knowledge to represent you on issues that have a direct impact on your lives and the services the Council provides for you. This can be your concerns on the economic climate, local parking issues and local leisure and recreation facilities. We meet publicly and carry out investigations on any issue that you tell us is relevant to you and your community. We also represent you by making sure that Worthing Borough Council’s budget is spent effectively.

This year we have been undertaking a great deal of work as the Council’s watchdog ensuring that Worthing Borough Council’s Cabinet is held to account for the decisions which it has made.

This Annual Report is a summary of what we have done this year and how we have made a difference.
